What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media & Content Intern position at Mite?
Overview: Mite is looking for a new team member to help engage with donors and followers through social media. The ideal candidate is someone who is equally comfy striking up a conversation with a stranger as they are crafting content to create engaging stories. Oh, and also someone who likes to have fun!
Qualification: The ideal person for this internship should be an individual who has taken courses or has experience in Social Media or Content Creation. They must have a high attention to detail, a creative brain, and skills in video production. They should have a good understanding of Adobe or Canva. This person should work well within our team culture, should have a heart for what we do, and should be able to adhere to our Statement of Faith.

By identifying and vetting global nonprofits, directing donations to projects that matter, and documenting how your charitable donation is being put to use, we put hope in motion & charity in action - changing the world one person & one community at a time.
Reports to: Helen Madden- Donor Relations Associate.
Pay: Stipend per semester & academic credit.
Hours: 10 hours/week, including daily interaction on SM platforms; can work from the office and remotely but must be based in Mecklenburg/ Gaston County.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- 5% Monthly Staff Meetings
- 15% Weekly Intern Supervisor & Content Meetings
- 80% Projects
- Project 1: Manage and Engage with Donors and Partners on Social Media
- Project 2: Create a Social Media Calendar for the Q2 & Q3
- Project 3: Organize and file our large library of Video and Photo content from Infield Projects
