MI WINDOWS AND DOORS MANUFACTURING PLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (ROTATING 3RD SHIFT)
We are seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our manufacturing plant on the 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical work, basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of PLC systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all work in a safe manner following company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in assigned areas under the guidance of higher-level utility mechanics.
- Communicate effectively with other maintenance employees and supervisors.
- Complete assigned work orders accurately and document all relevant information.
- Complete Maintenance, Repair, and Operations documentation and Proteus entry as required.
- Perform technical maintenance tasks under close supervision.
- Provide necessary information for proper parts inventory management.
- Maintain facility grounds and services.
Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- Technical or trade school degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of industrial electricity.
- Knowledge of energy sources for utility equipment (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.).
- Able to maintain plant utilities (lighting, water systems, drain systems, etc.).
- Ability to work independently when directed.
- Basic understanding of schematics and blueprints.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment (ohms meters, voltage meters, etc.).
- Understanding of power equipment (cut-off saws, demo-saws, drills, etc.).
- Familiarity with OSHA and company regulations (Lock Out Tag Out, Personal Protective Equipment, etc.).
- Basic understanding of critical Maintenance, Repair, and Operations procedures and requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
