Responsibilities
- The Staff Accountant will perform accounting and financial processes related to the preparation and maintenance of financial records, the audit of financial transactions and the production of reports.
- The position will also assist with corporate accounting functions including fixed asset accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, accounting research, financial reporting, audits and tax compliance, conducting financial analyses of operational processes/expenses, and assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- A sample of some of the key duties and responsibilities would include performing GL accounting and month-end accounting, including journal entries and analysis worksheets, Fixed Asset accounting including CIP and process documentation, reconciliations, and generation of year-end audit and tax schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Accounting is required.
- A minimum of three years of accounting/finance experience.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
- Experience in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Strong Excel expertise.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
- Strong team work ethic.
