What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler I position at MITER?
A Material Handler II job is available in Tacoma, Washington at Milgard Windows and Doors. You should have prior experience in a warehouse environment loading trucks with the ability to lift 50 pounds. Prior Forklift experience is required, along with the ability to be certified in-house. You will have Previous experience in a shipping environment, preferably in a window manufacturing environment. The hourly compensation range is between $23.00 to $26.45, depending on experience.

Material Handler II job responsibilities include:
- Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures.
- Offload vinyl bundles, receive into Frontier system and put away into inventory locations.
- Assist in running vinyl insert bundle machine and cutting sample chips.
- Receive material and verify against packing slip.
- Ensure orders are complete per documentation.
- Secure loads in a proper fashion to minimize damage and breakage.
- Maintain stocked inventory. Pull orders from stocked inventory as directed.
- Maintain proper paperwork accounting for all shipments, noting any discrepancies.
- Receive raw material and verify against the packing slip. Label materials accurately.
- Assist in preparation for and completion of cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Proper usage of personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous material receiving/handling experience is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Forklift certification is required, along with the ability to be certified in-house
- Compute basic math problems to include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to discern colors.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Hand dexterity and strength.
- Overtime may be required, including some weekends.
