Our Mission
Mitre's Health FFRDC is seeking a Department Manager for Data Science and Information Department, within the Health Research, Innovation, and Data Science Division, to lead and manage a portfolio of work programs with the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy (ASTP)/Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
Job Duties
The Department Manager will oversee work programs with a focus on developing data standards, data infrastructure, informatics, decision-support and AI/ML capabilities. This may involve contributing to policy implementation, enterprise strategy and concept curation with sponsors. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding and experience supporting ASTP/ONC and AHRQ offices and has professional networks across both Federal Health and agency operations communities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 10 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 7 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience in data science, informatics, research data infrastructure, discovery platforms and AI/ML. The candidate should also demonstrate leadership experience working with Federal Health organizations, Research and Alliance partners.
