About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Innovation Manager for Health Research to lead and manage a portfolio of work programs with Federal Health organizations and research partners.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing data standards, infrastructure, informatics, decision-support, and AI/ML capabilities.
You will contribute to policy implementation, enterprise strategy, and concept curation with sponsors, leveraging your deep understanding of Federal Health organizations, research, and alliance partner networks.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and oversee ASTP/ONC and AHRQ sponsor strategic outcomes.
- Support the Director in building and maturing strategic relationships with Alliance Partners.
- Develop and shape work programs to achieve specific sponsor strategic outcomes.
- Ensure product technical quality for all work assigned to your department.
- Provide technical domain-specific knowledge and leadership internally and externally.
- Manage the department budget in compliance with policies.
- Cultivate close working relationships with sponsor counterparts and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Lead staff management, including recruiting, establishing performance goals, and appraising performance.
Requirements
- A minimum of 12 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience working with Federal Health organizations and research partners.
- Evidence of strong project management skills and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
- The ability to shape and drive high-impact, high-quality sponsor work programs.
- Experience with and success in developing, coaching, and leading people.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
