This role will provide regulatory support to MCG businesses to ensure compliance with export control regulations such as ITAR & EAR, plus experience is needed for securing & maintaining US government/defense contracts. Additionally, the position will collaborate with MCG Quality, Compliance, R&D, Legal and Commercial teams to implement and/or enhance the policies, processes, systems, and procedures required to maintain export control and government contract compliance. Early focus will be dedicated to optimizing the day-to-day implementation of our compliance program to ensure the company follows all applicable laws and regulations.

Core Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to key staff on economic sanctions, ITAR, EAR, DFARS, NIST/CMMC licensing policies, regulations, guidelines and practices
- Respond to inquiries from external entities, including customers, governmental agencies and potential business partners
- Preparation and submission of license applications, questionnaires and security protocols required for sanctions, ITAR, EAR, CUI, DFARS and CMMC compliance
- Stay up to date with the relevant regulations and standards as they pertain to the delivery of our products.
- Work with our Compliance Department to ensure that our company's systems, processes and best practices adhere to export control regulations and other applicable local, national, and international regulations.
- Support the introduction of systems and technologies as required to deliver export compliance within the business.
- Work with the compliance department to perform assessments of sites engaged in the fulfillment of government contracts and/or other regulatory requirements.
- MCG internal sales, commercial teams, and customers to identify pain points/needs within the targeted market segment.
- Prepare and present relevant data to assure customers are in compliance when utilizing MCG products.
- Communicate across our businesses to ensure ongoing compliance to the required regulations.
- Develop relationships with suppliers and conduct supplier assessments to promote compliance with/of applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, operations, procurement, and marketing.
- Based on the regulatory requirements, develop appropriate programs that provide continuing assurance of compliance for products.
- With the Compliance Department, develop and implement policies and procedures as needed to assure regulatory compliance.
- Advise internal departments and customers on regulatory requirements.
- Set up a training program to provide education on the regulatory requirements for all employees engaged in this area.
- Proven track record creating and delivering effective training.
- Engage with industry associations, government agencies, and other stakeholders as appropriate to ensure continuing regulatory compliance and best practice.
- Attend industry forums, conferences, and working groups to exchange best practices and work together to advance regulatory compliance & MCG products.
- Perform monitoring and reporting to help ensure the company and its employees operate within applicable legal and regulatory frameworks and adhere to internal policies and procedures.
- Develop and issue general regulatory support data that allow customers to use MCG products with assured compliance.
- Draft new and supporting documents and literature as required by the regulations.
- Maintain records of all regulatory support provided, both internally and externally.
- Ensure timely preparation of regulatory submissions in line with company strategy and targets.
- Establish & report out key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards compliance goals.
- Prepare reports for management and stakeholders to demonstrate the company's compliance with the regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in export control and government contracting.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise in ITAR, EAR, CUI, DFARS, NIST, and CMMC compliance
- Experience in the delivery and management of export control and government contracting audits.
- Experience in the provision of regulatory guidance to all levels of business.
- Basic knowledge of Plastics/Composite Products preferred.
- This position will have access to U.S. export-restricted materials. A successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or able to obtain all required U.S. government authorizations to access such materials.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance
- Experienced with export-related systems (e.g., SNAP-R, DECCS, AES/ACE), cloud-based storage, collaboration and transmission solutions with CMMC compliance and strategies for implementing effective tools
- Working & coordinating with global cross-functional teams, in a matrixed, multinational company required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills.
- The salary range for this position is starting at $96,636. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
