As an Automotive Senior Sales Manager, your primary responsibility is to Co-create and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue and market share growth in a specific market segment. In addition to leading a team of sales professionals, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with key clients and contributing to the company's overall sales and business development efforts. It is critical that you execute these strategies successfully, always keeping an eye on commercial excellence to achieve your financial targets.
This is a remote position, with the ability to travel to our Commerce, MI site as needed.

- Execute on the strategies to establish leadership positions in your market
- Creating and executing strategic account plans to attain sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Able to anticipate complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring integration with wider functional or business strategy.
- Setting annual unit and gross-profit plans through market analysis and sales strategies.
- Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for sales team.
- Maintaining sales volume by monitoring market trends, economic indicators, competitors, and supply and demand.
- Managing and driving new business performance through CRM pipeline development, analysis, and prioritization.
- Generating and maintaining accurate Account and Opportunity plans
- Managing and implementing sales forecasting, planning, and buyer-driven sales and marketing processes.
- Reporting and analytics, ensuring key performance indicators are met.
- Offering clients relevant insights and recommendations.
- Building strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels.
- Effectively communicating the company's value proposition, technology, processes, and current partnerships.
- Executing and supporting skills and other functional development programs to boost commercial organization performance.
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.com, and ComScore.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or engineering- required
- 5-10 years' experience in the Automotive Industry or plastics industry- required
- Proven sales leadership experience (5 years), consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proficient with CRM software and account management tools.
- Leadership experience for a growth oriented, dynamic industry leader in a comparable size/scope role.
- Previous experience as a sales leader in a market facing organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
- Knowledge of the plastics/chemical industry is advantageous.
- Understanding of operational initiatives from a sales or marketing perspective
- Record of accomplishment in building and developing high performing diverse teams, in a matrixed organization delivering measurable results.
- Availability for 60-70% travel, including some international travel.
- The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
