This position will take place at our Itasca, IL office in a hybrid capacity.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for the Company-wide Accounting, Internal Controls, JSOX, Cash Posting, CECL reserves and Accounts Payable functions of the organization. Responsibilities encompass, monthly financial reporting, financial audits, and bank audits. The position also has a significant role in the financial planning, analysis, and projections for the business. This position is a key part of the management team, and, therefore, includes participating in management meetings, helping set the direction of the business and working on merger & acquisition activities.

Responsibility for establishing and maintaining the internal control system associated with the essential duties and responsibilities of the functional areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage monthly close process.
- Financial reporting (Tokyo/HQ, Internal, Tax and Audit).
- Special Projects (New GL/Workday FY2025; LeasePlus integration FY2026).
- Lead annual audit process.
- Work with Tax in supplying relevant financial information.
- Key performance indicators- develop, maintain, and report.
- Planning & analysis- Providing information for FP&A team, collaborating with FP&A.
- Documentation by staff of functional business processes.
- Mergers & acquisitions: pricing, due diligence & integration.
- Technical accounting research.
- Ad hoc business & portfolio analysis/reporting.
Functions That Will be Managed:
- Accounting & GL.
- CECL reserves.
- Financial reporting.
- Cash Applications.
- Accounting operations.
- Accounts Payable.
Goals/Projects (current, subject to change):
- Technology: Implementation of new General Ledger August 2025 (Workday).
- Developing more segmented P&L and Balance Sheet from GL.
- Development of documented reserve policy and analysis.
- Automation of manual processes.
- Development/enhancement of key performance metrics in reporting packages.
- Ensuring processes are documented by staff and comply with JSOX.
- Establishment of goals for staff (annual); motivate employees, promote employees where appropriate.
Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:
Act independently; Decision-making within Company policy.
Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises company-wide accounting staff
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Planning, assigning, and directing work and performance reviews.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):
- Timely completion of financial reporting.
- Audit completion.
- Projects (new GL for example).
Qualifications:
- Leadership skills- past experience managing large team (30 ) across various geographical locations.
- Technical accounting concepts related to financial services.
- Experience with dynamic change and leading an organization through integrations.
- Computer skills required: Experience with Lease/Loan accounting systems (InfoLease or LeasePlus preferred) and/or Workday (or to lesser extent Great Plains) preferred.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; master’s degree preferred.
- 15 years of professional experience, preferably in financial services.

- Personal computer, copier, phone, and other typical office equipment.
Working Hours:
- Hours may vary and will require some evening work; frequently requires working 40-45 hours/week depending on business needs.
Travel:
- Occasional travel related to visiting offices or other related work travel (staff located in Illinois, Connecticut, Minnesota and Canada).
Physical Demands:
- Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
- Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
- Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person.
- Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another.

The position is exempt, and salary will be between $250,000 and $291,000 with an opportunity to earn a bonus.
The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience and education.
