Proposal Manager
The Proposal Manager is an important member of the Commercial Operations team. This position requires a motivated, persistent and ambitious individual with the interest and ability to work collaboratively across the organization to create and deliver proposals for new major equipment sales. In this highly visible and important role, the Proposal Manager works directly with Sales Directors, functional experts and Executive Management. The position reports to the Manager of Commercial Operations and Risk Management.
Job Summary
· Work closely with Sales Directors to support client inquiries for pending opportunities
· Review detailed customer RFQs and summarize commercial and technical requirements
· Apply critical thinking in vetting new opportunities with Sales Directors and Executive Management
· Lead Proposal Development Teams of functional experts to develop on-time, high-quality
proposals aligned with campaign strategy
· Understand and help develop the commercial and technical strategy for each proposal
· Lead proposal Kick Off Meetings and communicate requirements, strategy and schedule
· Collaborate with Aero/Energy Services/Mitsubishi Power functional groups as needed to create a
prioritized proposal development schedule for all the required deliverables for each RFQ
· Manage and maintain proposal files on common drives and external systems
· Organize and lead cross functional meetings and follow up regularly with functional experts
· Manage the team’s adherence to proposal deadlines, allotting sufficient time for final reviews and
changes
· Prepare proposal review presentations for executive management review meetings
· Lead executive management reviews for proposal approvals
· Collaborate across functions to develop contract exhibits and secure approvals for contract
signature
· Prepare materials and lead project turnover meetings for successful campaigns
· Drive proposal development team productivity and realize process improvements

Education / Experience
· Business/Management/Engineering degrees or relevant experience
· Advance degree preferred
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
· Power Industry and/or Gas Turbine experience preferred
· International experience and/or foreign language skills desirable
Additional Requirements
· Occasional domestic/international travel may be required
