Cookie/cake decorator

Overview:
We are a small, family-owned bakery dedicated to creating delicious and beautifully decorated cakes and cookies. Our team is passionate about baking and delivering exceptional customer service. We are looking for a talented and artistic cake and/or cookie decorator to join our friendly team and grow with our company.

Key Resposibilities:
- Decorate cakes, cookies and cupcakes from start to finish, including design and final touches

-Be able to pipe and fill cookies as well as assemble and ice a cake.
- Prepare icings such as buttercream and royal icing
- Follow instructions accurately and consistently to meet our bakery’s standards.

-Collaborate effectively with the team while also being able to work independently when required

-Proved excellent customer service, including taking orders at the counter, over the phone or via email.
- Package finished products for display or sale
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

-Proven experience in cake and/or cookie decorating with a portfolio showcasing your work.

-Strong foundation in decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and other decorating skills.
- Experience in food preparation, handling, or culinary arts
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
- Previous experience in food production or restaurant settings preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

• Cake decorating: 1 year (Preferred)
