Pick/Pack Associate

Responsibilities: The goal of this position is to fulfill orders received from the Sales department. The primary role is to gather inventory and packages for shipping, but they may also assist with other warehouse tasks, for example placing items in the correct place back on the shelves or loading finished packages into delivery trucks. You will also take products from our warehouse and move them on shelves for Pick/Pack to fill orders. Packers consider the most space-efficient way to send a variety of items of different shapes, sizes, and weights. They collect the necessary shipping materials to create a shipping package that will protect the items inside. Packers also note any special considerations about the order by labeling the shipping container with information about any items packed, stage containers and work with the packaging machine, and end of the day closeouts.

Pick/Pack responsibilities:

· Be knowledgeable about the products Mize and Company Inc provides.

· Be responsible for overseeing daily order fulfillment activities, including order processing, picking, packing, and shipping preparation.

· Collaborating with staff and the Plex software to optimize the fulfillment operations.

· Track stock levels to prevent backorders and/or deadstock.

· Preventing inventory shrinkage, accidents, and occupational hazards.

· Being a part of a dynamic team of production staff, full-time and part-time pick/pack staff, along with other departments. It is a team environment and rotates to avoid burning out.

· Maintain positive and mutually beneficial relationships with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers.

· Works alongside pick/pack staff to ensure a clean work environment and keeping everything stocked within the Pick/Pack area.

Work Hours and Benefits: Mize and Company, Inc. is in Kingman Kansas and offers on-site work in the warehouse. The office hours are 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday.

Pick/Pack desired Qualifications and Skills:

· In-depth knowledge of packing and shipping procedures.

· Ability to operate a fork-lift and pass an exam to drive when needed.

· Good knowledge of basic arithmetic, addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment for 10-hour days.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Good communication skills.

Job Requirements:

· High School diploma required.

· Proven strong customer-oriented focus.

· Familiarity with Plex software preferred

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $12.75 per hour
