About the Team Procurement works with the business to meet their supplier and purchasing needs through the full lifecycle of the relationship with the goal of maximizing commercial value, selecting suppliers aligned with Mizuho standards, ensuring service and product quality, and optimizing expense management. The function is part of the Corporate Strategy and Administration division and provides Sourcing, Purchasing and Contingent Workforce Management services supporting the Americas region. This position is based in our New York City office and requires you to be in the office two to three days a week. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and analytical individual to join our Team in a Procurement Data Analytics role at a leading corporate and investment bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing on delivering analytics and transparency on the firm's commercial effectiveness through divisional level reporting, improvements in Procurement efficiency and improvements in spend analysis. This role requires a deep understanding of the sourcing market, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Key Responsibilities Management Reporting: Develop and deliver comprehensive Divisional-level reports that provide visibility into the firm's commercial effectiveness. Ensure accurate and timely dissemination of data to support strategic decision-making. Procurement Efficiency Improvements: Identify opportunities for enhancing procurement processes and implement strategies that optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Spend Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of spending patterns to uncover insights and trends. Provide detailed spend analytics to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting and analytical activities. Develop and maintain databases and systems for effective data management. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with procurement teams, finance, and other stakeholders to align analytical efforts with business goals. Foster strong relationships and drive collaboration across the organization. Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement activities. Monitor and report on these metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management with proven experience in procurement analytics, data analysis, and reporting, preferably in a corporate or investment banking environment. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Certification in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management is a plus. The expected base salary ranges from $92,000.00 $150,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
