Job Summary
We are looking for top talent to join our Human Resources team as an HR Operations Specialist . The exemplary candidate will be an integral part of the HR Operations team, within a center of expertise, partnering with all levels of the organization in both the corporate office and in the field. As a valued team member, this role will increase efficiency and accuracy of transaction processing, promoting best practices across the company’s HR functions, and support in the design and improvement of operational processes and procedures.
The incumbent will possess the ability to identify opportunities to improve operational processes to be more efficient and accurate while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and have the ability to work independently and with a team. This position requires the ability to rapidly move between topics while effectively communicating ideas and scenarios, advise HR partners, People Leaders, assist with projects, and ensure operational readiness for change across our organization.
The HR Operations Specialist supports the HR team and organization in all HR functions including, but not limited to :
- Provide a seamless onboarding experience to incoming new Team Members and rehires, such as conducting and coordinating new hire orientation, I-9 processing and verification, and identification badging, etc.
- Demonstrate good judgment and meticulous attention to detail to accurately process HR transactions, including hiring, personnel changes, reclassifications, and other HR related activities. Escalate unique or complex HR transactions to the appropriate HR function and Payroll for resolution.
- Regularly audit employment records and files making corrections, as needed, auditing I-9 forms and supporting documents, and other compliance documentation.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new policies and procedures required to process and resolve personnel transactions, inquiries, and issues. Interpret and apply HR policies when answering client questions, HR tickets, and processing transactions.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment. Conduct virtual meetings and presentations to educate clients about various benefits packages, including health, dental, life insurance, retirement plan, and more.
- Provide excellent customer service to Team Members and HR by collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve a wide range of benefit issues in a timely, equitable, and efficient manner. Collect information, determine root cause, identify resolution needed and make sound decisions.
- Assist with planning and executing HR-related events, such as Open Enrollment, health fairs and wellness events.
- Ensuring a seamless internal LOA and Worker’s Compensation processes partnering closely with HR Business Partners and third-party leave and Worker’s Comp administrators. Manage the return-to-work program through the Interactive Process to document appropriate accommodation to work restrictions, follow-ups, etc. Manage all recordable and reportable claims on the OSHA log and generate a report to meet posting requirements as well as analytics to address safety concerns.
- Evaluate credentialing requests and provide supporting documents to Team Members.
- Seamlessly process terminations, generate offboarding documentation, and assist with exit interviews.
- Assist HR leadership and HR team with administrative tasks, communicate with stakeholders, and prepare HR reports. Participate in HRIS projects and ensure integrity of data and maintenance of confidential employee and company information in the HRIS platform.
- Work on multiple projects with a high sense of urgency and accuracy to attain results. Proactive by nature and willing to bring ideas and suggestions forward and provide input to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Understand, follow, and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Salary Range : $65,000 - $120,000 potential annual bonus comprehensive benefits package
