SPR Logistics is a FedEx Ground Contractor dedicated to delivering excellence in every aspect of our operations. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize our fleet operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
Job Summary:
As the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our vehicle fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained, compliant with regulations, and operating at peak efficiency. You will work closely with various departments to manage vehicle acquisition, maintenance schedules, driver performance, and costs to ensure a smooth and productive fleet operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Maintenance & Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement schedules of company vehicles, ensuring they meet safety standards and are ready for operation at all times.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all fleet operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety standards, licensing, inspections, and emissions requirements.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage the fleet budget, optimizing vehicle use and maintenance to minimize costs and maximize the fleet's efficiency.
- Fleet Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze fleet performance data, including fuel consumption, mileage, and downtime, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Procurement & Leasing: Manage the acquisition, leasing, or disposal of vehicles based on operational needs, including evaluating vendors and negotiating contracts.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records for all fleet-related activities, including vehicle inspections, maintenance logs, and driver reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role.
- In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to details.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with budget management and cost optimization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills to assess fleet performance and implement improvements.

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
