Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
- Oversee the preparation of complex tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Review and supervise the work of junior accounting staff and provide training as needed.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Analyze financial data to support business planning and decision-making processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with significant exposure to tax preparation and compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software and tax software, with strong Excel skills.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and tax laws.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
