- Have work/life balance and NO weekend work Due to an internal promotion, a successful manufacturer is hiring a Quality Inspector
to join their team. The Quality Inspector will have the opportunity to be diverse in their quality job responsibilities. In this role you will be responsible for the following tasks:
· QMS Compliance & Audits: Monitor QMS, analyze requirements, support audits, and maintain records.
· Inspections & Testing: Perform vendor/in-house inspections (mechanical, visual, CMM), conduct in-process/final inspections, and facilitate product testing.
· Non-Conformance & Corrections: Document non-conformances, track corrective actions, coordinate RMAs, and resolve vendor issues.
· Quality Control & Process Improvement: Manage calibration, perform first article inspections, communicate with QC personnel (domestic/international), define/use QMS metrics, and improve process efficiency.
· Operational Support: Monitor work/sales order compliance, attend staff meetings, document materials, and assist in other areas as needed.
Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, work on multiple tasks and be hands on. Candidates should be hands on with their quality duties and enjoy learning new tasks! Our client wants to train and develop you. REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Inspector:
1. A minimum of a high school diploma
2. Depending on the level of education, at least 1-2 years in a similar quality role
3. The ability to read blueprints
4. Experience with basic QC/metrology tools, such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
5. Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, etc.
6. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50-75 pounds
7. Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Machining environments
2. GD&T
3. CMM experience
4. Auditing experience
5. ERP experience
