Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs routine maintenance and inspections on company facilities and equipment, including shop tools and storage areas
- Maintains a clean and organized shop environment, adhering to safety regulations
- Monitors and restock essential supplies and tools for the maintenance department
- Documents maintenance activities, ensuring accurate records for compliance and reporting
- Collaborates with the Operations and Safety teams to address maintenance-related concerns proactively
- Tracks inventory supplies by verifying orders as needed.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications
- Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to other locations within Southern California in provided company vehicle
- Initiative-taking, critical thinker with the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Highly organized, manages time efficiently, detail and accuracy oriented
- Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines
- Good interpersonal skills, able to work well with a wide range of individuals
- Have the ability and willingness to work additional hours, when necessary, based on workload
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
- Work is performed in both a shop and outdoor trucking/distribution environment around heavy equipment and hazardous materials
- The position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, and maintain balance for extensive periods of time. Seldomly lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive tasks; stretch, turn, twist, and reach overhead; bend, crouch, squat, kneel and stoop for extensive periods of time
- Environmental working conditions vary. Employee may encounter vibration, noise, odors, and extremes in temperature and wind as well as exposure to varied weather, varied surfaces, sharp edges, varied lighting and confined and congested areas and occasionally exposure to petroleum-based products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, oil, and grease.
- Full-time
- On-site at Glendora or Ventura home terminal with frequent travel to other terminals as needed
- Local travel is approximately 50%
- Company vehicles are provided for company travel
- High School education or equivalent
- Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
- Safety/ OSHA knowledge or certifications
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance
