The Group Copy Supervisor is responsible for all copy produced for one or more brands, depending on the size. This role includes directing and / or reviewing all work produced by Junior Writers, Copywriters Senior Copywriters, and Copy Supervisors assigned to the brand(s). The Group Copy Supervisor must be certain that all copy produced meets the standards set by the agency and the client, In addition, the Group Copy Supervisor is hands-on, and does an appropriate proportion of writing as well.
Specifically, the Group Copy Supervisor has the following responsibilities :
Creative / Hands-on work (60%)
- Team with Group Art Supervisor to produce standout and strategically focused concepts and campaigns
- Take on appropriate writing projects and own them, start to finish
- Know the product data and claims, and those of the competition, inside out
- Manage and work independently, under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects
- Estimate copy hours
- Participate in client meetings and presentations
- Attend market research as appropriate
- Share responsibility with planning to shape strategic branding

Leadership (20%)
