Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of surfaces.
- Carry out custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Respond to cleaning emergencies promptly to maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure all areas are properly maintained and cleaned according to established schedules.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices and procedures, including industrial cleaning techniques.
- Experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to perform floor care activities such as buffing and waxing effectively.
- Familiarity with residential painting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with team members and facility occupants.
