Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to manage full-service bookkeeping for our clients while also providing essential office support. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial terminology, preferably with a background in tax and accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping Services:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Process invoices and payments
- Prepare financial reports
- Maintain accurate records and organize financial data
- Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Office Assistance:
- Answer and redirect phone calls, take messages, and assist clients when appropriate
- Schedule appointments, send reminders and manage calendars
- Organize and maintain files, both digital and physical
- Maintain office cleanliness (light duties as a shared responsibility)
- Track and reorder office supplies as needed
- Take initiative and problem-solve independently when assisting clients
Qualifications
- Certified Bookkeeper certification required
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other financial software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and work independently
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Reliable and professional demeanor
