Powercor is the specialty services division of MKD Electric we are a NICET-certified electrical testing, engineering, controls, and automation company. What you will do…
- Travel locally to various project sites as required.
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily operations of job crew employees,
- Deliver daily reports to the assigned superintendent and maintain ongoing communication.
- Direct training for employees as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies; provide discipline counsel, and motivation as appropriate.
- Stay familiar with project plans, specifications, and contract scope.
- Attend coordination meetings and provide necessary updates and information.
- Monitor and document job progress using appropriate tracking forms.
- Generate RFIs, memos, and other communications to ensure accurate and timely information sharing.
- Compile and submit end-of-job deliverables, including QA/QC reports and as-built drawings.
- Supervise and guide the work performed by the crew.
- Clearly communicate company policies and procedures to the job crew.
- Apply knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) as required.
- Order daily materials and conduct follow-ups at the end of each workday.
- Manage tool control and inventory on the job site.
- Ensure the job site is properly cleaned and organized at the end of each workday.
- Enforce compliance with all safety standards set by the company and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and track employee work hours as necessary, and approve time as required.
What you will need to succeed…
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to operate equipment safely and proficiently in various work environments.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting, walking, climbing, bending, and leading for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in inclement weather (hot and cold) and at elevated heights.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS).
- Understanding of raceway pathways, cable pulls, device and panel terminations, and installation of BMS/EPMS panels and devices.
- Experience in Data Center BMS/EPMS systems and critical facility environments.
- Skilled in bending and installing EMT/rigid conduit.
- Proficient in setting up and pulling wire and cable.
- Experience managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with subcontractors and clients.
- Knowledge of BMS/EPMS and mechanical schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret tape measures, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, formulas, and processing charts.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.
- Experience installing conduits using hand, mechanical, or hydraulics benders.
- Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety regulations.
- Committed to following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) policies.
