MKS Instruments is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist Intern to join our team
you will assist with every day EHS responsibilities from SDS Management, Incident Investigation, Internal
Audits, Waste management, Safety Committees and everything encompassing EHS tasks
Principal Responsibilities
Hourly Pay Range: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary
range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training,
operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an
individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including
11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.

- Safety Committee meetings and Inspections
- Hazardous Waste Management
- Internal Audits
- Emergency Response Procedures
- Assist with Operations meetings sharing EHS Metrics and Initiatives
- Travel Requirements: Travel between 3 sites throughout Rochester, NY
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program for Environmental Science
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations and how to apply them to the working environment.
- Technical skills in areas such as: electrical and mechanical systems, fire protection, telecommunications, and security systems
