A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As the Valves and Customs Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for vacuum isolation valves, fittings, specialized mechanical systems and heater systems products. This includes managing the product development process, developing project goals that support the business unit objectives and partnering with production. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Director.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Leading a team of product design engineers focused on vacuum isolation valves, customized mechanical and heating products for applications in multiple industries.
- Directing estimating & quoting of new designs using machined, welded and functional components
- Working directly with customers to solve difficult problems.
- Drive sustaining engineering priorities, processes and documentation in support of improved product line efficiencies and revenue.
- Working closely with manufacturing in the US, Mexico and Asia to optimize cost and efficiency during the product development, launch and volume production.
- Overseeing the product development lifecycle, from idea generation and concept validation to design, prototyping, testing, and final production.
- Managing resources, budgets, and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensuring products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements through testing and validation.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- 10 years of job-related work experience
- Technical expertise in tactical and strategic product development and manufacturing
- Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Strong leader with ability to resolve conflicts and simultaneously team build
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with semiconductor capital equipment, system or modules
- Vacuum systems technology
- Resistive heating systems technology and related system thermal dynamics
- New product development/new product introduction
Supervisory Scope:
- Reports to the Director of Engineering
- Manages a team of 4 engineers and rotating co-ops
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary to support business goals. Travel estimated at an average of 10%.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range:$100,414.00 - 186,482.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Bonus:This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
