You Will Make an Impact By:
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity team to design, engineer and implement changes inside the MKS network infrastructure
- Strong understanding of network security principles
- Manage the MKS Palo Alto firewall and Panorama management environment
- Manage the MKS router/switch/wireless infrastructure
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to technology changes
- Provide third level support and troubleshooting to our managed service provider who provides day-to-day support
- Assist in day-to-day support of routers, switches, firewalls, and tools used by the network operations team
- Technical project work including coordinating implementations with MKS business partners and stakeholders
- Analyze and recommend architectures and designs to improve the existing MKS network environment
- Research new technologies to help MKS select the correct tools and solutions in our environment and assist in deployment
- Mentor level 1 and 2 network operations staff to reduce escalations
- Ability to create documentation for critical projects, audits and Cybersecurity initiatives
- Minimum 8 years’ experience working in network environments utilizing network technologies like Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Palo Alto, etc
- Experience with upgrading large network environments with utilization of “remote hands” or similar
- Experience with Aruba Networks route/switch/Wireless solutions or similar
- Experience with Fortinet and/or Palo Alto firewalls in a large enterprise environment or similar
- Experience coming up with solutions to reduce network downtime and improving end user experience
- Experience working within a global enterprise environment supporting the networking needs of multiple corporate offices in different countries and regions.
- Network skills to include some/ most of the following: TCP/IP, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, IPSec VPN), Layer2/3 switching and VLAN configuration, firewall security policy
- WAN and SDWAN provisioning and optimization experience
- Experience with network management tools such as Aruba ClearPass, Cisco Umbrella, Infoblox, NetBrain desired
