A Day in Your Life at MKS :
As a Senior Quality Engineer at Newport / MKS Company located in Irvine, CA you will partner with Newport Precision Optics Manufacturing to lead the Quality activities for key customers and internal projects. In this role, you will report to the Technical Director, Quality Engineering.
You Will Make an Impact By :
- Work closely with the Optical Fabrication team, drive a Culture of Zero-Defect Quality.
- Troubleshoot customers issues using structured 8D problem solving methods and diagnosing potentially complex issues. Drive critical issues with urgency and effectively communicates solutions to customers.
- Review and update QMS procedures as per ISO 9001-2015 guidelines.
- Lead Site Equipment Calibration and Return of Materials Processes. Must be comfortable working in clean room environment.
- Continuously interface with Operations, D&E, and Production Support teams to implement proactive improvements to quality.
- Lead pFMEA, process audits and related control plan activities.
- Travel Requirements : Up to 10 % of Travel is required.

Compensation and Benefits :
Salary Pay Range : 78,400.00 - 145,600.00 USD per year. This range is a good faith esti mate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus : This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
