Program Manager
The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for leading multiple, cross-functional project teams in delivering the full lifecycle of educational support services to our Marine Corps client. The Program Manager serves as the overarching leader of the company’s employees and will work closely with Government leadership to ensure proper execution of the program. Responsibilities include the following:
• Serve as the company’s primary interface with the Government and manage all contract operations
• Direct project teams for optimal program effectiveness
• Conduct command level briefings to Government stakeholders
• Responsible for ensuring contract deliverables are completed with timeliness and accuracy
• Responsible for tracking program budget and financial health, to include subcontractor management
• Ensure required staffing for all sites, responsible for hiring and personnel decisions
- Responsible for managing quality control and ensuring risks are identified and communicated to both Government and corporate leadership in a timely fashion, with mitigation strategies provided
- Responsible for the overall performance of contract staff
• Lead continuous process improvement efforts in curriculum, delivery, and business operations support
- Responsible for ensuring overall program schedule is maintained
- Responsible for providing routine program updates to corporate leadership
- Responsible for interacting effectively with Headquarters departments, including HR, Finance, Contracts, and Recruiting
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in management and supervision of projects with multiple personnel; management of remote personnel; scheduling and reporting; 14 years of experience is preferred
- Program Manager must have at least 5 years of experience in the management of Professional Military Education (PME) programs delivered to students; experience managing a world-wide educational base is preferred
- Exceptional leadership skills, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Experience with Marine Corp University preferred
- Ability to manage a geographically disparate workforce
- Ability to manage workforce consisting of full-time and part-time employees, subcontractors, and consultants
- Familiarity with the full lifecycle of military educational support; including business operations, administrative support, Information Technology and Educational Technology support, as well as Faculty management and curriculum delivery to military learners preferred
- Position will require approximately 25% travel to CONUS locations including, but not limited to; VA, NC, CA, and TX; minimal travel to OCONUS sites may be required
