Security Education Training & Awareness Officer

We are hiring for a great technical opportunity for a Security Education Training & Awareness Officer - Top Secret clearance to work onsite for our Springfield, VA location. This position requires an active Top Secret / SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Pay : $110,000 - $125,000

Location : Springfield, VA

Clearance : Top Secret or above

Responsibilities

What You'll Do :

  • The SETA Officer is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the development, facilitation, and implementation of a multi-disciplinary security training and awareness curriculum for SCI programs. The ideal SETA Officer requires excellent writing and speaking skills, creativity, sound judgment, and initiative.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education :
  • Master's degree or higher : >

    • 2 years experience; or

  • Bachelor's degree or higher : >

    • 3 years experience; or

  • Associate's degree : >

    • 6 years experience; or

  • High School / GED : >

    • 8 years experience

  • Experience :
  • Experience in creating a security training program for a large program office.
  • Experience in creating recurring schedules.
  • Experience conducting briefs to large audiences.
  • Experience tracking training certificates and updating training records.
  • Working knowledge of DODM 5200.01 Vol.1-3.
  • Working knowledge of ICD 700 and 703.
  • Working knowledge of E.O. 13526.
  • Familiarity with the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM.
  • At least 3 years experience building briefs using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to balance policy requirements with program mission and timelines.
  • Ability to develop Annual Program Security and SCI Refresher Training.
  • Must be aware of all DoD and IC Training requirements and seamlessly implement them in a Training curriculum.
  • Ability to engender rapport with the military, civilians, and other contractors at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Desired Qualifications :
  • Familiarity with the DODM 5205.07, Vol. 1-4.
  • Familiarity with ICS 703-01.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) Training Curriculum
  • Additional Requirements :
  • The position requires to be onsite due to the classified nature / location of the program.
  • Security Clearance : This position will require U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD TS / SCI clearance and will require the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
