About the Role
The Dispatch Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our student transportation services. This is a demanding position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive work environment for drivers.
- Collaborate with drivers to resolve issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Create and manage schedules for daily routes and extracurricular trips.
- Prepare and distribute necessary paperwork to drivers, including directions and itineraries.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with drivers, schools, and other stakeholders.
- Address driver call-offs and schedule substitute drivers as needed.
- Work closely with the management team to optimize routes and schedules using computer scheduling systems.
- Solve in-trip problems with drivers, students, or buses in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to parents, students, and other customers.
- Pursue new business opportunities through charter work and identify ways to increase revenue.
