The manager/dispatcher is the brain of our daily student transportation operation. This is a very rewarding and demanding position that requires extreme dedication and the ability to work long hours. You must be very adaptive, good at problem solving and quick on your feet.
Duties include
Promote and create a positive work environment for the drivers, through support, and the fast resolution of any issues. Empower the drivers to provide the safest and highest quality student transportation.
Scheduling drivers and buses for daily routs and extra curricular trips. Provide the driver with all paperwork including, directions, itinerary, etc.
Communicate between school and drivers of route changes, discipline issues, via phone, radio and email.
Answer driver call offs and schedule substitute driver.
Working with computer scheduling system.
Solve in trip problems with drivers, students, or bus.
Answering parent inquiries, phone calls and emails.
Customer relations, properly handle customer complaints and issues.
Be a happy proactive go-getter that makes our customer feel as if they are the only customer we have.
Seek out and produce new sells leads and customers with charter work.
Recruit and hire new candidates.
Manger drivers personnel paper work and training.
Must be willing and able to obtain a class B CDL with S and P endorsements.
Student transportation experience is preferred.
