Position Description
As an Independent Contractor with Tuition Navigators, the Choice Navigator supports students and their families in navigating tuition options, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid processes. The role is designed with contractor autonomy in mind while maintaining alignment with school operational hours to ensure access to students and families.The Choice Navigator will be responsible for delivering high-quality, in-person support and guidance, ensuring a seamless financial aid experience that meets each family's educational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with students/families on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to assess their tuition needs and provide guidance on available financial aid options.
- Note: Failure to meet deliverables, deadlines, or maintain communication may result in a review and could lead to the replacement or termination of the contract.
- Assist families with the scholarship application process, providing support and necessary information to secure funding.
- Manage documentation and data entry related to tuition, scholarships, and financial aid in the provided CRM/Quick Schools system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Advise families on financial planning, assisting them with budgeting for tuition and ongoing educational costs through in-person collaboration. Many goals cannot be met without direct, face-to-face interactions.
- Submit completed scholarship applications for processing to the relevant financial departments or partners.
- Review and assist students in identifying their tuition responsibilities, providing them with a breakdown of their costs and available options.
- Maintain accurate records for each student or family, ensuring that all necessary documents are stored properly and securely.
- Act as the primary point of contact for families navigating complex tuition challenges, guiding them through payment options, deadlines, and renewals.
- Refer families to external financial aid resources as necessary, such as vocational rehabilitation programs or specialized grants.
- Identify IEP/504 requirements and forward to the Academic Team and Vocational Rehabilitation Team as needed.
Job Expectations
- The position is result-oriented, focusing on delivering quality service and meeting agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling meetings and completing tasks, primarily operating within school hours (typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) to ensure availability for students and families.
- The expectation is to proactively align your schedule with school operations and calendar to ensure in-person support is accessible.
