The Director of Emergency Room (ER) oversees the operational, clinical, and administrative functions of the Emergency Department to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department, ensuring alignment with the hospital’s mission and goals.
Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of ER physicians, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff.
Ensure that all patients receive high-quality, timely, and compassionate care.
Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance safety and satisfaction.
Develop and manage schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels for the 24/7 operations of the Emergency Department.
Oversee patient flow and implement strategies to reduce wait times and improve throughput.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related healthcare field required.
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience in emergency or critical care settings.
At least 3 years of progressive leadership or management experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting.
Certifications such as Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
