Seeking an enthusiastic Civil Engineering Lead (supervising role) with experience supporting Power
Generation and Site / Land Development Projects in Charlotte, NC area.
Responsibilities include functioning as Civil Engineer of record for the project including signing and
sealing civil drawings, managing civil project activities from conception to construction including
supporting civil site work. The successful applicant can look forward to projects including simple and
combined cycle powerplants, nuclear projects, and plant retrofits throughout the United States that
require all facets of civil engineering and design.
Additional Responsibilities
- Prepare project estimates including material take-offs and manpower estimates
- Develop task schedules and engineering budgets
- Develop material specifications and prepare bid evaluations.
- Review relevant codes, design documents, specifications and construction documents to support
project development.
Job Requirements
Minimum Security Clearance :
Bondable
Education : Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a four-year accredited college or
university.
Experience : Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering and Design and 3 years in a
leadership position
Experience to include :
a. Experience in Power Plant, Transmission and Distribution, and Site / Land Development Projects.
b. Performing engineering calculations such as storm water and site drainage, preparation of SWPPP,
environmental permitting, land development plans including foundation excavation plans, roadway layout,
traffic circulation studies, erosion and sediment control plans, site grading and drainage plans.
c. Fully understands the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and
discipline associated, written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices,
standards, and procedures.
d. Civil Design Software : AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 3D Modeling, DTM Modeling, PondPack and Flowmaster
