Seeking an enthusiastic Civil Engineering Lead (supervising role) with experience supporting PowerGeneration and Site / Land Development Projects in Charlotte, NC area.Responsibilities include functioning as Civil Engineer of record for the project including signing andsealing civil drawings, managing civil project activities from conception to construction includingsupporting civil site work. The successful applicant can look forward to projects including simple andcombined cycle powerplants, nuclear projects, and plant retrofits throughout the United States thatrequire all facets of civil engineering and design.Additional Responsibilities? Prepare project estimates including material take-offs and manpower estimates? Develop task schedules and engineering budgets? Develop material specifications and prepare bid evaluations.? Review relevant codes, design documents, specifications and construction documents to supportproject development.? Review engineering reports and documentation prepared by junior staff? Provide mentoring and technical development of junior staff? Ensure the quality of project deliverables? Travel to project sites as required.Education : Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a four-year accredited college oruniversity.Experience : Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering and Design and 3 years in aleadership positionExperience to include : a. Experience in Power Plant, Transmission and Distribution, and Site / Land Development Projects.b. Performing engineering calculations such as storm water and site drainage, preparation of SWPPP,environmental permitting, land development plans including foundation excavation plans, roadway layout,traffic circulation studies, erosion and sediment control plans, site grading and drainage plans.c. Fully understands the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications anddiscipline associated, written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices,standards, and procedures.d. Civil Design Software : AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 3D Modeling, DTM Modeling, PondPack and FlowmasterThe successful candidate must have strong communication skills and be capable of collaborating with themulti-discipline engineers and designers : ?
