O.R. SURGICAL TECHNICIAN $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS
SUMMARY
To provide technical assistance to the surgical team and maintain a knowledge of sterility and its function in the O.R. environment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must be a high school graduate. Medical background necessary.
Must be graduate of an accredited surgical technician program.
Previous scrub experience perferred
Communication skills necessary to effectively:
Provide instruction to staff, patient and/or significant other.
Provide explanation to staff, patient and/or significant other.
Communicates with other members of health team in a calm professional manner.
Computer usage.
Physical requirements for above: talking, telephone usage and hearing.
Ability to concentrate and prioritize, plan and perform professional care to resolve patient care problems and interact with patients, families, surgical staff and other team members.
Able to share with nursing team plans necessary to develop and implement a plan of care for the patient’s well-being.
BLS required.
