Our client is a Global Leader in the Food Manufacturing industry, with an IT department that plays a crucial role in supporting and optimizing the technology that drives company operations, from production and logistics to customer engagement.
Our client is looking for a talented Sr. Network Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and managing network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. You will work with a wide range of technologies, including Cisco networking solutions, monitoring tools, and modern SD-WAN environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure using Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches.
- Configure and optimize Palo Alto firewalls to maintain robust network security.
- Manage and implement Zscaler (ZCC and ZPA) solutions for secure web gateways and cloud-based security.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 load balancers to ensure optimal application performance, availability, and scalability across diverse environments.
- Oversee SD-WAN solutions to ensure optimal performance and connectivity across distributed networks.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using industry-standard tools to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Administer, configure, and support Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control, ensuring secure authentication, authorization, and accounting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that align with business objectives.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco VoIP technologies
- Manage and configure BlueCat DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions
- Experience with network security concepts and best practices
- Stay updated on emerging networking trends and technologies to continuously enhance the infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in network administration/engineering
- Experience working within an on-call rotation
- Experience with network upgrades, migrations and expansions
- Exposure to VoIP, SIP, CUBE, Cisco Call Manager, and Unity a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage projects effectively
- Strong documentation and reporting skills (ServiceNow preferred)
- Strong experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with Zscaler solutions and SD-WAN technologies.
- Strong understanding of Cisco ISE
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with network security concepts and best practices
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE) are a plus.
- Experience in designing and implementing secure, scalable network architectures.
- Knowledge of cloud networking and integrations with public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for network tasks.
