MMI Engineered Solutions is currently seeking an experienced, driven and technically exceptional business development professional to join our team! The dynamic individual hired for this role will be responsible for selling products, systems and services to management representatives at target customers. Their primary role will be to assist in delivering on revenue goals, with a focus on uncovering, opportunities with both current and new customers. This goal will be achieved by utilizing professional sales techniques to both understand the client's needs as well as outline how the features and benefits of MMI Engineered Solutions products and services best meet those needs.


Located in Saline, Michigan, MMI Engineered Solutions provides world class engineering solutions for advanced composites and engineered resins across multiple industries. We engineer innovative ideas for today's complex design and manufacturing issues.

As a part of the Business Development Team your responsibilities would include:

  • Maintaining relationships and regular contact with new and existing accounts to acquire new customers as well as expand programs inside existing customers.
  • Collaborate with clients to address their needs and issues with the products.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific solutions.
  • Travel to customers on a regular basis to develop relationships, make presentations and provide up-to-date resources on new products, capabilities, and services.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes and proposals with appropriate team member(s) to ensure timely submission of all quotes.
  • Collaborate with clients to address their needs and issues with the products.
  • Utilize sales tactics that align clearly with the company's overall business strategies.
  • Assist in the development and planning of marketing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of successful business development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Polymers or similar degree.
  • Willingness and demonstrated success working in a base salary plus bonus environment with a compensation package designed to reward success
  • Demonstrated communication skills with the proven ability to interact and present technical information to stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, managers, and peers
  • Proven organizational and business process skills that demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to identify problems, seek resources for guidance, analyze and recommend solutions
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • A demonstrated ability to problem solve
  • Comfortable with tight or variable project timing in a fast paced work environment.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively, meet personal goals, and work effectively with others
