What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at MMS LLC?
Essential Job Functions:
Function 1: Order Quality Control - Inspects product quantities and colors of items brought to them for order verification. Then you move the orders off of the wooden pallets to plastic if being brought into the production areas or move wooden pallets directly to shipping when necessary.
Function 2: Product Delivery - Identifies orders on verified pallets and brings them to the Production Floor. The individual must be able to determine the correct location on the Production Floor by locating the Department on the orders belonging to the stock of the pallet being moved.
- Capable of understanding Pull Tickets (Orders)
- Coordinates with Warehouse Managers/Clerks/Forklift Drivers to move product when necessary
- Maintains pallet flow of orders to production floor
- Use scanner device to properly set orders in correct location systematically
Requirements:
- Able to work in Warehouse Elements – high heat and cold temperatures
- Able to lift average of 40lbs repetitively
- High School Diploma preferred
- Verbal and Written communication skills
- Follow ALL Safety Requirements
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding safety standards within a warehouse
- Comfortable in a fast pace environment
- Knows how to use pallet jack
- Have the ability to work overtime
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
