Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall administrative operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the office and field stations.
- DIRECTS all administrative activities for the Forestry Area, including human resources, budget management, and facilities maintenance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Division of Forestry programs, promoting inter-disciplinary collaboration and problem-solving.
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Science/Management or a closely related field. A minimum of four years' professional forestry experience, including two years in a senior forester role or one year in a supervisory forestry role, is also required.
Candidates must have knowledge of forestry management principles sufficient to implement public responsiveness techniques and administer Department policies and procedures. Strong written communication skills are essential for preparing and editing technical reports and management plans.
