- Assist with meal preparation and cooking, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Support residents with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, promoting independence while ensuring safety.
- Offer companionship and engage residents in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
- Provide care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments, utilizing appropriate techniques to ensure their comfort.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy, dignity, and choices at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or personal care assistance is preferred.
- Strong skills in patient observation and the ability to recognize changes in health status.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards residents.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to providing respectful care.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous but not required.
