Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented operator to support our shipping and receiving operations. As a Loadout Tech, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring safely, efficiently, and effectively loading of soybean meal, hulls, pellets, and crude oil within required product specifications onto freight and rail car for delivery to customers.
This position is on night’s working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The schedule is a 3/2/2 that provides every other weekend off. Pay starts at $19.33 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour for night shift premium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Uphold a strong safety culture by adhering to safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Identify and promptly address workplace hazards.
- Accurately load trucks and rail cars with soybean meal, hulls, oil, and other soy based bi-products using mechanical equipment, meters and scales as required.
- Probe incoming soybean deliveries taking a sample, accurately grading, and unloading.
- Gather samples of laboratory analysis as scheduled/require, and perform and record required control analyses.
- Measure bins with accuracy to ensure proper inventory levels of soybeans, meal, hulls, and oil; properly record measurements for daily records.
- Accurately complete necessary paperwork required in the record keeping of the bean probing and receiving and Loadout operations.
- Perform necessary safety checks to maintain the equipment in a safe and efficient operating condition.
Qualifications:
- Safety Conscious: Prioritize safety at all times.
- Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Technical Aptitude: Knowledge of mechanical processes, and aptitude for spatial awareness and quantitative reasoning.
- Experience: Previous rail car loading experience is a plus.
