What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pavement Design Student Worker position at MnDOT?
This position is located at the Office of Materials & Road Research in Maplewood. The position will work up to 39 hours during the summer and part-time during the school year.
The student will assist with ongoing activities related to materials testing, such as but not limited to Simplified Wedge Splitting Test (SWST) and Disk-shaped Compact Tension (DCT) testing. The student will also be expected to help others in the research and operations sections as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be current students in a secondary, post-secondary, or graduate school. Other qualifications include:
- Enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science program or similar.
- Experience with Microsoft computer programs, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience applying statistical analysis tools to data sets.
- Valid Class D Driver’s License.
