We are looking for an experienced Small Group Employee Benefits Account Coordinator to help us meet our customer retention and revenue growth targets by keeping our clients’ benefits competitive and innovative. The Account Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and managing assigned accounts, annual due diligence, client renewals, and staying in front of employee adds/terms and changes during Open Enrollment and client onboarding process throughout the year.

Responsibilities -
Execution of Clients Service:
Works with the Producer and service team to plan, execute, and track customized service strategy and documentation for each client, designed to create measurable value for our clients.
Manages creation of proposals, providing summary of benefits, service plan, and other client deliverables designed to support clients with making decisions with their plans, processing renewals, employee change requests, and carrier changes.
Prepare well-written and easy to understand review letters for clients on an annual basis, offering recommendations to clients, based on analysis of client’s insurance needs and suggest additional benefits to bridge gaps in coverage.
Assists clients with new hires and terminations throughout the year, and processes changes with carriers in a timely manner.
Serve as a liaison between client and insurance companies to independently resolve all service problems, including but not limited to billing, claim issues, eligibility, COBRA, and other customer service problems.
Build and maintain online enrollment systems for applicable clients.
Prepare Open Enrollment materials, presentations, and other items needed for face-to-face meetings or virtual employee meetings.
Conduct and assist with Open Enrollment meetings.
Conduct and assist with client/prospect webinars.
Client Service Workflow and Process Integrity:
Consistently follow client service workflow and documentation and engage internal resources such as management, procedures manuals and reporting tools to ensure efficiency and accuracy of execution.
Accurately maintains complete client files, including clear documentation of account details, renewals, policy information, activities, attachments, and correspondences.
Business Development:
Develop and maintain effective working relationships in a liaison role with insurance companies, such as underwriters, sales representatives, and service representatives.
Proficiently know the carriers, networks, underwriting requirements, and benefits/services they provide.
Follow the sales process and assist with follow up with prospects.
Submit weekly, Monthly and Quarterly updates
Positively represent MNJ Insurance Solutions in Networking events and tradeshow events.
Peer Relationships:
Develop and maintain positive, successful working relationships with Management, Producers, Account Managers, Client Service Representatives, general agents, carriers, and underwriters.
Participates in ongoing scheduled meetings with the service team to discuss accounts, renewals, service needs, EASE, CRM, and more.
Communicates effectively with team/management and provides timely and complete updates/information to allow the team to maintain positive client relationships.
Shares best practices, industry trends, and legislation updates and remains current.
Systems:
Ensure the smooth running of the process by systematizing routine office tasks and documenting procedures.
Qualifications -
The Employee Benefits Account Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the maintaining a book of business and is a top priority of this position. The Account Coordinator is responsible for maintaining relationships and managing assigned accounts, annual due diligence, client renewals, and assisting with employee new hires/terms and Open Enrollment. The individual must have great attention to details and have great written and verbal communication skills.
The individual must be able to communicate well, prepare review letters/emails for clients, strategically analyze benefit solutions for employers, and offer logical recommendations to align with the client's benefit objectives and budget. Must be able to work independently and resolve client billing or claim issues, eligibility issues, COBRA, and other customer service issues. The Account Coordinator must have a good understanding of insurance networks, provider and Rx look-ups, competent with underwriting requirements and benefits/services the carriers provide.

Requirements -
High School diploma or recognized equivalent is required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
Active CA Life and Health Insurance license and in good standing.
Minimum of 2-3 years of related industry experience and/or training.
Thorough knowledge of Employee Benefits insurance required.
Driver’s license and car insurance required.
