Job Title: CMA Certified Medical Assistant
Job Location: Utica, Michigan
Job Schedule: Mondays - 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesdays through Thursdays 6:30 AM to 4:00
PM and every other Friday, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
About the role: The Certified Medical Assistant is needed for a small private clinic located in Utica, MI. This clinic conducts pre-employment physicals; treats workers compensation injuries; performs annual hearing tests; The successful candidate will be detail oriented, highly organized, and patient focused.
Responsibilities:Update and file patient records
Complete insurance forms
Take patient medical history
Take and record vital signs
Administer vaccines
Prepare and perform EKGs, PFTs, injections
Conduct hearing tests
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
Dispose of contaminated supplies
Schedule appointments
Purchase and maintain supplies and equipment
Explain treatment procedures to patients

Additional skills and/or experience required for success in the role:
Certificate of Completion from a recognized Medical Assistant program
At least one year of experience working in a medical office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must possess a desire to learn
CMA is not required but strongly preferred
