Job Schedule: Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Fri & Sat
Week 2 - Sun, Wed & Thurs
Week 1 & 2 both on Swing shift - 12 hours 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
rotating weekly schedule

About the role of a Heat Treat Operator:
MNP Corporation is seeking a skilled Heat Treat Furnace Operator to join our
precision manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the
setup, operation, and monitoring of industrial heat-treating furnaces used to harden and temper steel fasteners. This position ensures all metallurgical processes meet stringent quality and strength standards required for demanding fastener applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with heat treat experience, furnace operations expertise, or metalworking knowledge to work in a team-oriented, safety-first manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities of a Heat Treat Operator:
Operate and monitor heat treating equipment, including carburizing and tempering furnaces, quench tanks, and temperature controllers
Adjust and maintain furnace settings to meet process control specifications
Perform pre- and post-process inspections of steel parts using precision measuring tools
Monitor and log computer-controlled parameters including carbon levels, temperature, soak time, and cooling rates
Follow quality assurance protocols and document all inspection results
Identify non-conforming parts and issue rejection notices or rework instructions
Maintain lot traceability records in accordance with manufacturing standards
Support 5S lean manufacturing practices and contribute to a clean, organized workspace
Comply with OSHA safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times
Additional skills and/or experience required for success in the role:
Previous heat treat experience
Self-motivated; able to work without constant supervision
Excellent work ethics: dependable, reliable, follows established procedures
Possesses basic computer skills
Able to work in a team environment; get along with others
Able to read work and understand work instructions, blueprints, technical documents, and customer requirements
Able to do math calculations and work with numbers, fractions, and decimals
Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
Able to record information and calculate data as needed
Able and willing to wear the required protective clothing and PPE mandated by OSHA and MNP
Able to work in hot, oily, and noisy conditions
Able to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift, and sit as needed throughout the day
