Job Title:
Lab Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Food Safety and Quality Systems for the Clover Food Additives Lab
- Monitor site compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement training programs to maintain certifications
- Be key contact for audits and update all certifications as defined by standards
Main Duties:
- Support Senior Quality Manager in staff growth and development
- Collect feedback from staff and implement ideas to enhance Food Safety
- Responsible for Clover Food Safety and Quality Systems
- Initiate action to resolve Food Safety or Quality problems
- SQF Practitioner
- Oversee SQF system development, implementation, review, and maintenance
- Communicate essential information to relevant personnel
- Comply with SOPs, cGMPs, and safety programs
- Perform HACCP and Food Defense tasks as needed
- Assist with regulatory information requests
Requirements:
- Strong observation and interpretation skills
- Strong computer skills (SAP knowledge preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Good problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
- 5 years of experience in people leadership and lab environment
- Experience in microbiological testing and food industry preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environment and maintaining GFSI and ISO 9001 standards
- Proven food safety expertise
- SQF Certified Practitioner credential strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work an eight-hour shift in a lab/production environment
- Required to use computer daily
Work Environment:
Manufacturing and warehousing facility for food grade products
