- Own the end-to-end payroll process, including data collection, calculations, processing, and reporting
- Ensure payroll runs accurately and on time for all U.S. employees through Paylocity and related systems
- Maintain payroll records and ensure changes (e.g., deductions, exemptions, transfers) are processed accurately
- Manage payroll compliance by staying current with federal, state, and local regulations, and advising leadership on necessary updates
- Provide timely support to employees with payroll-related questions while maintaining a high standard of confidentiality
- Develop and refine payroll policies and procedures to support accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Create and present reports on earnings, taxes, deductions, and other payroll metrics for finance and leadership
- Support audit, tax, and reporting requirements by maintaining accurate documentation and timely filings
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes for efficiency and scalability
- Act as a cross-functional partner to HR, Finance, and Ops, contributing to smooth workflows and data integrity
- Champion a positive employee experience by delivering timely, clear, and supportive payroll service
What are we looking for?
- A detail-oriented, proactive professional with 8 years of payroll experience
- Comfortable working independently and owning complex processes from start to finish
- Known for your troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- A strong communicator with the ability to explain payroll details clearly and empathetically
- Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and confidentiality
- Familiar with standard tools like Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Required certifications: CPP and FPC. A BA in a related field is a plus.
- Experience with Paylocity payroll and time & attendance systems is preferred
