Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee software implementation projects for the government agencies we are currently engaged with. The candidate will possess a solid background in project management within the technology sector, ideally with experience in managing projects for government agencies. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the planning, execution, and closing of software implementation projects for government agencies.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation, and delivering every project phase on time, within scope, and budget.
· Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
· Ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with government regulations and standards.
· Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction.
· Perform risk management to minimize project risks and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
· Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
· Report and escalate to management as needed.
· Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Requirements:
· Certification: Must hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector, specifically with experience in software implementations for government agencies.
· Solid technical background, with an understanding of software development and web technologies.
· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
Desired Skills:
· Knowledge of government contracting processes and regulations.
· Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
· Security clearance, or ability to obtain security clearance, may be required depending on the project.
