The Licensed Practical Nurse Occupational/Employee Health Nurse is responsible to a nurse executive/Director of Occupational Health. He/She collaborates with employees, employers, members of the occupational health and safety team and other professionals to: identify health and safety needs; prioritize interventions; develop and implement interventions and programs; and evaluate care and service delivery.
The LPN could work in Family Care, Ortho, or Internal Medicine.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
- Clinical and primary care including assessment, diagnosis, management and documentation of occupational and non-occupational illness and injury
- Case management for occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries
- Health hazard assessment and surveillance of employee populations, workplaces and community groups
- Investigation, monitoring and analysis of illness and injury episodes and trends, as well as methods to promote and protect employee health and safety
- Compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing health and safety for employees and the environment
- Management and administration of occupational and environmental health services
- Health promotion and disease prevention strategies using primary, secondary and tertiary principle
- Counseling, health education and training programs using adult learning approaches
- Research related to occupational and environmental health

Submission Requirements;
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. Required
- Experience: 1-2 years health care experience.Required
- Occupational and/or Employee Health experience preferred.
- Required Skills: Current NH LPN license. Required Certification in specialty area preferred. Breath Alcohol Technician Certification. Preferred
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Able to work independently and have good organizational skills.
