Position: Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist

THIS IS A CT/X-RAY TECH POSITION

• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and critical thinking.
• Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
• May be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or Facility Director. Proper care of the client following the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.
• May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel or as determined by the Manager or Director.
• Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and Tiger Text format required.
• Practices infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Demonstrates ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACs applications.
• Completes annual mandatory education to include blood-borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
• Maintains department competencies as required.
• Technologists will be required to perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks including IV insertion and injections.
  
  

Submission Requirements

• 2 years of current CT/X-Ray experience
• Previous Travel REQUIRED (at least 6 mos or more)
• Travelers with current agency experience (at least 6mos to 1 year or more) - REQUIRED (first-time travelers with an agency will not be considered)
• Travelers working a concurrent per diem/prn assignment will not be considered
• Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred
• Travelers must be willing to consider other duties on assignment during low census (within the scope of practice)
